Minh Young Kim led the squad from when they were united in Act one until he met his timely end to the hand of General RAAM. The squad witnessed the execution of their team leader yet ruthlessly pushed forwards in the catacombs where they encountered their first Berserker. Not much back story is given behind Kim but we are instantly made aware of his strict, hard as nails position early on in the game. Although he was scrict he was known as a great leader to the group.

Minh Young Kim can be used in Gears of War 2 multiplayer by using linked achievements. You must collect 10 COG Tags in the first game, and you must be connected to XBOX Live to unlock him in Gears of War 2.
